Would you like to protect your display from keys and other stuff you carry around in your pocket? All you know about needle work is that you can poke holes and pull a string through the hole? You are not able to cut textiles in a straight line?

felt, rubber foam, needle, string, scissors/cutter, glue

I was lucky. I found a workshop by Sami Jannin on "Dynamic Nuclear Polarization for NMR spectroscopy" at EPFL in Lausanne. The workshop was great & I've never been in Switzerland before...
If you look out of the window there is Lake Geneva everywhere - and on the other side France with more beautiful mountains.
If you walk around in Lausanne I'm pretty sure you'll make twice as many meters in altitude than in San Fransisco + sunrise/sunset are really something...
